Every Vote Counts: Tesco's Mum Of The Year Awards

Some of you may be aware that around this time every year, Tesco Magazine launches their Mum of the Year Awards. Coming into it's 5th year, the prestigious awards look to recognise the "achievements of exceptional mums whose love, dedication, bravery or kindness has touched the lives of the people around them"

Each year, thousands of nominations are made for extraordinary mums (and a few dads who've stepped into their shoes!) who have combined motherhood with giving back to the community, making a different, or simply being a rock through extremely difficult times.

Think you know an amazing mum who deserves the recognition? Here's how you can nominate them.

In order to nominate a mum, you will need to e-mail your entry to mumoftheyear@tescomagazine.co.uk. You'll need to include the mum's name, address, telephone number and your own details, along with her (or his) story and a photo if possible.

You'll need to be quick though as voting closes on the 25th September, this Friday! Those who the panel of judges believe to be suitable will be shortlisted and will then be treated to a glamorous day of being wined, dined and pampered, followed by a star-studded awards ceremony in London and some wonderful prizes.

The charity has plenty of celebrity endorsement too, with the PM's wife Sarah Brown as a patron. Each year a celebrity mum is also chosen, with Nell McAndrew taking the honor last year and Kym Ryder the year before.

Do you know any deserving winners? Who do you think deserves Celebrity Mum of the Year?
