I've always been a morning person and, being slightly food-obsessed, rarely fail to have breakfast of some sort. Consequently, I completely buy into the concept that breakfast gives you the kick start you need for the rest of your day.
Saying that, I understand why late risers may prefer the carb-filled heated options of lunchtime over the cereal or toast options of breakfast. But breakfast cereals can offer a lot of your RDA for calcium, fibre and ever Omega 3.
But how can we encourage children to enjoy a breakfast each morning? One way of doing it is by encouraging them to take responsibility by treating them to their own breakfast bowl. The dotty one on the right is from Emma Bridgewater for £15.95
