How To Announce The Arrival Of Your Newborn

How To Announce The Arrival Of Your Newborn

Recently, I've noticed a lot of my friends announcing their new arrival through Facebook or Twitter. Whilst I understand the logistics of this (one status change and everyone knows), it does tend to mean that anyone who's not on Facebook/Twitter misses the big news.

Back in the old days (e.g. five years ago), baby announcements were made through the post with hand-crafted or personalised cards. So, what do we do now to satisfy both the web savvy and the more traditional?

Two busy mums have come up with the perfect idea for new parents rushed off their feet.

Baby Says Hello is a service that allows mum or dad to create a printed announcement card to send out to loved ones, and a free website with the same design featuring the announcement of your baby (including images, birth date and weight) and a guestbook for family and friends to rave about how adorable your baby is.

So, basically, you get the best of both worlds. Granny will love the printed cards, whilst your school friends can simply click through to the website from the link you send out.

£40 really isn't a huge amount to pay for all those hours saved writing out cards either.
