If you've been trying to get pregnant for some time, you might be interested to know that it takes the average couple 104 attempts, according to a new study.
That equates to six months of having sex around four times a week.
But while some women call their husbands home from work to have sex while ovulating, it's not all swinging from the chandeliers.
Nearly one in four women admitted sex often became 'boring' when trying to get pregnant, and 70 per cent said they would prefer their baby to be conceived during a spontaneous love-making session, rather than a 'baby making' mission.
Dr. Mike Smith of First Response, who carried out the survey, said: "Having sex 104 times before falling pregnant does sound rather a lot, but as they say practice makes perfect.
"However, for those not trying to conceive it's very important to remember that many couples may also fall pregnant first time so if you are not trying for a baby please still use the necessary precautions."
Good advice, considering that two thirds of the 3,000 women surveyed said they fell pregnant much quicker than they expected to.
