H&M has snagged designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, Comme des Garçons' Rei Kawakubo, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf and Sonia Rykiel, among others. And the latest rumour setting fashionistas' hearts aflutter is that Lanvin is the next label to be hitting the high street retailer's shelves.
On Tuesday, H&M unveiled a viral video campaign to generate excitement for its annual holiday designer collaboration and soon names like Bottega Veneta's Tomas Maier, Carolina Herrera and Vivienne Westwood were being tossed around as potential guest designers, along with Lanvin's Alber Elbaz, on whom WWD has placed its bets.
Details of the latest designer collaboration will be revealed on 9 September. Until then, we're keeping our fingers crossed and daring to dream about a wardrobe full of Lanvin... at H&M prices. The only snag we foresee? Fighting our way through the inevitable chaos to get our hands on a piece of the Alber action. We hope they have mini bow ties!
