Catwalk Review: Altuzarra S/S 2011

Catwalk Review: Altuzarra S/S 2011

DESIGNER: Joseph Altuzarra for Altuzarra

INSPIRATION: Futuristic fashion babe meets Claude Montana

TOP LOOKS: Body-con white dresses and blazers adorned with python accents; banded tank dress with black slit skirt; black silk long-sleeve coat with dyed black python trim

ACCESSORIES: Neon belts, exotic laceup sandals by Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra

WHO WAS THERE: Plenty of eager editors

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Altuzarra is a precocious 27-year-old designer with a mean knack for ziplock tight tailoring. His assemblage of body-con dresses were cut to a tee. Even more enchanting was the formfitting python blazer that marched past. Python was also used to adorn his predominately white collection (we're seeing a trend here) with triangular patches. We weren't crazy about the parade of cone-shape bra tops and dresses but his cool fashion crowd will surely indulge.
