As we all know, celebrities aren't much like us mere mortals. They don't eat much for starters, so what happens when they get married? Is it all macrobiotic meals and micro-portions, or a huge glamorous feast?
We take a look at the menus of some famous stars' big days.
In November 2006, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes tied the knot in a tiny Italian town in front of A-list guests including Will Smith, Victoria Beckham and Brooke Shields.
Their Scientology wedding lasted only 15 minutes and before long the guests were chowing down on a four-course dinner that included sea bass and steak. Dessert was a five-tier white chocolate wedding cake. Somehow we don't reckon Victoria ate much of that.
Both of Britney Spears' two marriages have ended in disaster and her second one to Kevin Federline hardly sounds like a glamorous affair. The ceremony was said to last just five minutes, and it wasn't long before guests were tucking into the classy fare of chicken fingers, barbecue ribs, cheeseburgers, and crab cakes.
All whilst dressed in tracksuits that said "maids" or "pimps" on the back. Britney's wedding was also a BYO affair – bring your own bottle.
We all know Sandra Bullock's marriage to Jesse James is now in tatters, and with a theme of 'Backyard Barbecue', it hardly got off to a flying start. Sandra and professional biker and philanderer Jesse, hosted a southern-style barbecue complete with ribs, coleslaw and corn, all no doubt eaten with their fingers.
Beyonce and Jay Z pulled out all the stops to ensure their wedding remained a top secret affair, including deciding not to hire caterers to cook the food in case of secrets getting out.
Instead, Beyonce admits hers and Jay's grandmothers did all the cooking. Grandma Knowles cooked up some traditional Creole dishes, while Granny Z made cooked oxtails.
Mr and Mrs Rooney's wedding in 2008 was rumoured to have cost a whopping £2.5 million. Manchester party-planning firm Revellers took care of the cake and catering, but guests were bound to have been upset that hardly any of the budget was spent on booze – Coleen reportedly thinks excess drinking is "vulgar".
Another doomed marriage, Kerry Katona and Mark Croft didn't to anything to alter their King and Queen of chav image at their wedding. One source claimed Kerry did everything in her power to keep costs down for the ceremony, which included feeding the 30 guests a buffet of roast beef, sausage rolls, chicken drumsticks and mini quiches.
Little is known about the food offered to guests at the marriage of Charles and Camilla, but what is known is that their wedding cake was made by a small family baking firm. During a Royal visit to a food fayre in Scotland, Prince Charles stopped and tried some of the cake that owner of the company, Etta, had baked using her mother's traditional recipe.
Charles was so impressed that he asked his aides to get the recipe. Etta refused to part with the secret. But later, when a request was made by the Queen for the Wedding reception of H.R.H Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles at Windsor Castle, Etta accepted the offer to make the royal wedding cake.
The cake is now known as 'Etta's Royal Wedding Cake'.
The 1999 marriage of David Beckham and Victoria Adams, aka Posh Spice, was Britain's biggest wedding since that of Charles and Diana 18 years earlier. Dinner for the event was catered by chef Jason Reynolds and included red pepper soup, turkey breast, grilled Mediterranean vegetables, and David's favourite - sticky toffee pudding with a terrine of summer berries. The couple's wedding cake was served with a nude sculpture of the couple on top.
Black Eyed Pea Fergie married Josh Duhamel in January 2009, in Malibu, California. The wedding was rumoured to cost a rumoured $1 million, which is pretty expensive when you consider the guests were asked to catch their own dinner – rainbow trout from a lake on the property.
For those who weren't too experienced with a fishing rod, the rest of the menu included winter-chopped salad, roasted tomato soup, beef tenderloin and sea bass, plus a half-banana, half-chocolate wedding cake designed to look like a castle.
Diva extraordinaire Mariah Carey didn't disappoint during her wedding to Nick Cannon. The couple married in a surprise wedding ceremony at her Bahamian estate where the couple wed at sunset in front of only 12 guests.
The bride and groom travelled to the island via private jet, bringing with them boxes of live Maine lobsters and Dom Perignon. Mariah's wedding cake was a suitably extravagant five-tier affair decorated with butterflies.
