Last night saw the second ever Fashion's Night Out take place, and London's most stylish celebs and voracious shoppers were out in force to celebrate. To mark the occasion, Lily Allen unveiled her new vintage boutique Lucy In Disguise at Selfridges, which she has created with half-sister Sarah Owen.

"The best part of the project is seeing how it all comes together" Allen told MyDaily. "We've spent a lot of time picking out the pieces, but it's amazing to see how it all works together for the boutique." The racks at the boutique crammed with names like Ossie Clark, Dior and Chanel, she points to her favourite piece, a shell pink Dior shift dotted with diamante.

"I think I'm just drawn to vintage clothing, it's not a conscious decision – it just happens that I love pieces that are pre-loved and have a bit of history," she explains. "My tips for nervous vintage shoppers? Give it time – and don't be put off by the sizing. A size 12 in the 1970s was tiny."

Allen wore a 1970s psychedelic floral maxi with sequinned bolero to the launch – and we've noted that she's been rather partial to vintage dresses since announcing her pregnancy. Has she been seeking out vintage maternity-wear? "I don't know if what I'm wearing is technically maternity-wear", she said caressing her bump. "I'm just wearing what fits." So now we know. And how would she describe her own style? "Haphazard; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't".

Elsewhere at Fashion's Night Out, Gemma Arterton and Claudia Schiffer were on hand to show their support for Mr Giorgio Armani, who was in town to host a cocktail party. Gemma kept things simple in an LBD and tuxedo, while Claudia shimmered like the night sky in her skater-style frock. Over at Liberty, Manolo Blahnik unveiled his collection with the department store surrounded by hundreds of swooning fans. "I love London" he told us. "It simply is the most deliciously stylish of cities".

Meanwhile Gwyneth Paltrow was in town for Stella McCartney's soirée. Paltrow wore pal Stella's label from head to toe, including a plunging blouse and killer ankle boots. The only celebrity to let the side down on the fashion front? Pixie Lott's figure-skimming satin dress and knee socks at the Juicy Couture party. Too tight and far too much fake tan. Ms Lott, please try harder!
