A touch of the countryside came to the city last night, as Tamara Drewe hit London's Leicester Square. Hedgerows aligned the red carpet along with a few sheep and a large pink cow, but when it came to fashion, there wasn't a Barbour in sight.
Star of the show Gemma Arterton wowed the crowds once again with her simple, yet stunning, red carpet style. She let the Gucci gown speak for itself with barely-there makeup, her hair in a ponytail and few accessories, although, it was hard to ignore the huge Bulgari rock she wore on her finger. Still, her back to basics look was truly dazzling.
However, Arterton wasn't the only one to swap her checked shirts and muddy boots for something a little more sophisticated. Co-star Tamsin Greig shimmered in her strapless gown, which she teamed with union jack inspired shoes and a clutch that she "managed to grapple off [her] daughter". Quite a feat, but the matching accessories were a hit on the red carpet.
Mum-to-be, Lily Allen, also made an appearance at the premiere. Allen, who looked glowing in a vintage maxi dress, spoke about her new venture, Lucy in Disguise, and told us that "the fashion is going really well, it's all open next week and at the moment I'm just concentrating on doing the shop and the label which will come later". She's one busy lady, so it's no surprise that there are no plans for a maternity line just yet!
