Leading a rally against the "don't ask, don't tell" policy that prevents openly-gay people from serving in the military, Lady Gaga took to the podium in a long blonde wig, dark-rimmed specs, a black trouser suit and patriotic stars and stripes tie.
Standing in front of a giant American flag at the rally, in Portland, Maine, Gaga looked like she meant business as she delivered her impassioned speech to the crowd of gay activists.
Under the policy, which President Barack Obama has promised to repeal, gay people can serve, but face expulsion if they reveal their sexuality.
