Best & Worst of the Week: December 4th

1 December: Michelle Obama speaks about the Toys for Tots program in Washington, D.C.

The First Lady looks fabulous in her festive holiday outfit, an ode to this season's New Opulence trend with its navy and gold brocade print.

Best & Worst of the Week: December 4th

29 November: Winona Ryder in Dolce & Gabbana at the IFP's 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards

Not only is Ryder's petite frame dwarfed by this enormous puffball skirt, the pointy shoes don't work well with the dress either.

1 December: Kirsten Dunst in Valentino at the All Good Things premiere in New York

The actress works one of the season's top trends - Seductress style with a girly twist - to great effect in this lacy Valentino number.

29 November: Fergie at LAX airport

We're all about comfortable airport style, but Fergie's look is all over the place with the furry pelt, fedora and oversized sunglasses. Plus the super-high heels don't seem ideal for travel.

Best & Worst of the Week: December 4th

29 November: Leighton Meester in Thom Browne at the IFP's 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards

Leighton's been taking lots of fashion risks lately, and while not all of them have paid off, we love her take on masculine style on the red carpet. She keeps the look feminine with loose hair, purple satin pumps and plenty of eye shadow.

Best & Worst of the Week: December 4th

30 November: Kylie Minogue at the Rockefeller Center tree lighting in New York

Kylie can pull off a lot of challenging fashion statements, but Yeti-in-leather-style isn't one of them.
