WWD has drafted in the talents Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, Vera Wang, Gucci's Frida Giannini, Angela Missoni, Tommy Hilfiger, Prabal Gurung and Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli for Valentino and asked them to imagine what the Kate Middleton will be wearing down the aisle on her wedding day.
In the story WWD notes: "Though it's unlikely we've hit on the winner - the only Brit to submit was Elizabeth Emanuel, who, with her then-husband David, designed Diana Spencer's storybook extravaganza in 1981 - the offerings here provide alluring ideas for Kate's consideration."
One thing's for sure - the future Queen of England has got a queue of international design talent poised at their sewing machines as soon as she's ready to make her decision.
