London's got plenty of nice restaurants if you want a girls' night out, but when it comes to staying in, sometimes a Pizza Express takeaway and a bottle of Prosecco from Sainsbury's just won't cut it. Thanks to the lavish Grosvenor House and its new 'Girls in the City' package, there's now something a little more chic on offer. With a three-course dinner, cocktail masterclass in the hotel's new bourbon bar, a blow-dry or updo at the in-house Sanrizz salon, champagne in your superior room and breakfast the next morning, there's little they haven't thought of (bar a free pair Louboutin heels in the wardrobe).

Bedding down: Elegant marble bathrooms, spacious and traditionally styled bedrooms and, the pièce de résistance, 300-thread-count cotton sheets.
Feed me: Dinner is served in the swanky JW Steakhouse, so ideal if you love your meat. Not so great for my vegetarian sister... or so we thought. The world's best spinach and artichoke dip, followed by the world's most extravagant beetroot and goat's cheese salad and then the world's largest cheesecake (seriously, we had one to share between us and were still trying to finish it two days later) and everyone left smiling.
Easily bored? You're on Park Lane so if all the cocktail shaking and cheesecake eating gets too much, you're seconds away from the shops, theatres and Hyde Park. Or, you could follow our lead and watch The Bodyguard on the TV in your room with a bottle of bubbly! So much more relaxing.
