Home grown beauty and red carpet newcomer Carey Mulligan (nominated for An Education) made a fabulous first impression on Hollywood in a Nina Ricci gown and antique Fred Leighton jewels.
Actress Emily Blunt wore a dusty rose strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress with gathered fabric, and Jimmy Choo 'Quinze' jewelled booties. We love the mermaid affect - it really shows off her curves!
As one of last year's big winners, Kate Winslet presented this year in a dark blue Yves Saint Laurent gown and Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
Nominated for the theme from Avatar, Leona Lewis continued to take Hollywood by storm in this stunning lavender gown.
Winner Drew Barrymore wore an Atelier Versace one-shoulder champagne silk chiffon gown which she paired with Lorraine Schwartz diamonds, a Roger Vivier clutch and Jimmy Choo sandals. And nope, that's not an underwear oops - it's a deliberately visible nude silk corset that the designer paired with the gown.
Double nominee (and winner for The Blind Side) Sandra Bullock wore a strapless purple Bottega Veneta gown (love that bold colour). Her gorgeous long Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and Casadei pumps added excellent detail to her look.
Best actress nominee Julia Roberts went vintage in a short black vintage YSL dress and a large gold vintage statement necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels Private Collection. Her clutch is the Christian Louboutin 'Envelope' style.
Kate Hudson (nominated for Nine) wore a geometric white bustier dress by Marchesa, and pearl, diamond, and emerald jewellery from Stephen Russell.
Jennifer Aniston, ever the fan of 'casual sexy,' did the red carpet her way in a black slit-to-there Valentino dress, Versace sandals, and Fred Leighton jewellery.
Inglorious Basterds actress Diane Kruger wore a pink tulle bustier dress from the Christian Lacroix spring/summer 09 collection, a White 'Muse' clutch by Raven Kauffman, and Chanel fine jewellery.
