DESIGNER: Louise Gray.

INSPIRATION: Playful street style mixed with the tartan of her Scottish roots.

TOP LOOKS: Gray's versions of hip-hop inspired cropped street jackets were too fun to resist. We also found ourselves gravitating towards her take on a classic plaid skirt. The near feathering of the tartan material removed enough of the school girl connotations to make them adult acceptable.

ACCESSORIES: Balloon headdresses attracted most of the attention but we were partial to the referee whistle inspired earrings which made us even more excited about seeing the designers pending jewellery line.

WHO WAS THERE: Jameela Jamil was pretty in pink in the front row.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: This collection was true to Gray's reputation of inspired textiles and whimsical flare. We can't see ourselves sporting the padded strap bra tops anytime soon, but the colourful chunky sweaters were a lovely reminder that the a/w season doesn't have to be dominated by shades of gray (even if the skies are destined to be!). Street style served her well as a muse this season - once again Gray lived up to her promise of fun, youthful fashion.
