DESIGNER: Isabel Marant

INSPIRATION: Chic Left Bank girl-meets-Pocahontas

TOP LOOKS: Oversized sheepskin coats, patchworked denim shirts, fringed leather trousers, barely-there bandage dresses.

ACCESSORIES: Isabel Marant knows how to create a must-have accessory, and next season, those fringed-to-the nine boots (paired with a tiny mini, natch) will be snaking up the legs of all the cool girls.

WHO WAS THERE: All the usual suspects.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Isabel Marant designs the kind of clothes that the girls we all want to be wear: on-trend but effortlessly so, boho-sophisticated but also relaxed and comfortable. For a/w 2011, her chic brand of thrown-togetherness got a twist of Wild West appeal with fringes aplenty and Navajo-prints (see jumpers with trailing knits). The Lou Doillons of this world will find plenty of racy minis and mannish coats to keep their sartorial needs satisfied next season.
