INSPIRATION: Prairie girl, 70s style.
TOP LOOKS: Tailored jackets in suede and tweed worn over lighter fabrics such as cotton and lace shirts, velvet wide-leg trousers in salmon pink and emerald, sheer chiffon gowns worn with rouched suede boots and tan coats lined with fur.
ACCESSORIES: Knee-high wool socks tucked into suede boots, cotton head scarves and leather totes with tassles.
WHAT WE THOUGHT: The floaty, chiffon gowns and lace embellished shirts brought old time romance back to the catwalk. However, the real statement makers (which often used fur on the shoulders and collars) gave Bruno's collection a strong and sophisticated retro feel that suggested that these are prairie girls with attitude.
