Six famous female faces have joined forces with Rankin and ActionAid to launch the Get Lippy campaign in support of International Women's Day.

Joanna Lumley, Beverley Knight, Miranda Richardson, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Annie Mac and Kathy Burke have all been photographed in their best 'lippy' poses to encourage others to speak up about the inequalities facing women in developing countries.

ActionAid also asked each celebrity to say what they thought the best and worst things are about being a woman today. We like Lumley's choice. She said, "It's obvious what women are best at...we are genetically able to multi-task. Men can't do that. What's worst? The way we have been discriminated against in all religions and in all societies throughout all time. It's incredible to think it's not even 100 years since women got the vote in this country – bad."

What do you think the best and worst things are? Let us know in a comment and visit ActionAid to send in your messages to Get Lippy.
