Doctor Finds LIVE Insects In Her Baby's Formula Milk

Hospital doctor Jenny Vardy got the shock of her life when she opened a box of formula to make up a feed for her three-month-old daughter, Jo.

The mum-of-two, from Glasgow, was horrified to find the powdered formula infested with crawling black bugs.

Speaking to the Daily Record, the outraged mum said:

'It was really disgusting.'

Ms Vardy then opened a second pack of the Aptimel formula and allegedly found more bugs. She says she was not believed by an operator when she called the helpline number on the milk's packaging to complain:

'The woman I spoke to didn't believe they could be live bugs. She said they must be dead.'

Jenny later received a call from the company conceding they could have been live insects.

An Aptamil spokesperson said they were investigating the complaint.
