Catwalk Review: Chloé A/W 2011/12

DESIGNER: Hannah MacGibbon for Chloé, amid rumours that she's readying to leave the fashion house.

INSPIRATION: For autumn/winter, Chloé's girl gets just a little bit exotic.

TOP LOOKS: Python skin - both in its original form and as a pattern on other fabric - was the recurring theme throughout - we loved the snake print ochre blouse. Pussy bows and ankle swinging denim flares gave a new take on MacGibbon's beloved 70s style, while tailored trousers were wide-legged, low slung and breezy. Elsewhere a huge cape covered huge blocks of primary colours couldn't help but make an indelible mark on the memory.

ACCESSORIES: Leather bucket shoulder bags in array block brights were the It bag for the season.

WHO WAS THERE: Anna Wintour, plus cool French types like Clémence Poésy and Lou Lesage.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: MacGibbon's reptilian repertoire might have been based on something very cold blooded, but this was a richly coloured, exuberance that will surelybrighten a crisp autumn day. We just hope that it's not the designer's last collection for the fashion house.
