Catwalk Review: Todd Lynn A/W 2011/12

Catwalk Review: Todd Lynn A/W 2011/12

DESIGNER: Todd Lynn

INSPIRATION: 'Revolt, from the French revolution of the 18th century to disorder in today's global climate.' (Anyone taking notes at Peter Pilotto earlier in the same day may note a somewhat aggresive theme emerging here.)

WHO WAS THERE: Juliette Lewis and Jo Wood

THE ACCESSORIES: Sky-high Louboutin boots

KEY LOOKS: Lavish furs, funnel-neck coats and body-con trousers or leggings

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Todd Lynn has never been for girly girls, with his uncompromising take on tailoring, and this season was no exception. However, in amongst the leather gauntlets, zippered biker jackets and tight wool trousers, were a handful of more fluid dresses that hinted at a softening in the Lynn asthetic. Silk, blood-red dresses were wrapped on a bias, with zip detailing and high slits to reveal a flash of skin, while the wool-rib jumper dresses added warmth to proceedings.
