Have you ever balked at the cost of a friend's pre-wedding celebrations? We're guessing you're not alone given that we as a nation spend close to £5 billion each year on stag nights and hen dos.
A piece of research by short-term loans company Lending Stream looked at participants between the ages of 18 and 49 and found that the average hen do in the UK costs £163, while a stag night comes in at £195.
Setting aside money when you know you have a hen party coming up doesn't seem to help either as both men and women reported spending 25% more than they had budgeted for every time.
In case you were curious, Aberystwyth top the spending charts for stag nights with an average of £321 while Leicester ladies take the hen crown with an average spend of £207.
We're now wondering if the royal wedding hen night with its four booked venues will skew the budget average for this year.
