Liberty Says: Come Dine With Me...

Liberty today launches its new kitchen and dining department, The Dining Room, on the third floor of its famously stylish Regent Street store.

Showcasing a selection of new brands, exclusives, old favourites, cookery books and vintage-inspired accoutrements, Liberty's buying manager for home, Michelle Alger, describes The Dining Room as: "Downton Abbey meets country kitchen", adding: "A friend of mine lives in a manor house in rural Norfolk and this room was inspired by her kitchen. Wooden beams, a huge Aga and a mix of vintage cooking equipment and crockery. It's all about accessorising your kitchen."

The Dining Room will be stocking two exclusive ranges from Emma Bridgewater – 'Splatter' and a re-introduction of the popular 1990s range 'Utility'. There will also be an exclusive pattern range from Burleigh called Black Gentian.

Other new additions to Liberty include Royal Doulton, 'Nature's Canvas' by Wedgwood, Jasper Conran for Wedgwood and a new range by Lisa Stickley.

To celebrate today's launch, Liberty is holding a series of events designed to help bring out your inner domestic god/goddess, including an Emma Bridgewater ceramic signing on Wednesday 30 March, a pot throwing demonstration by Wedgwood on Thursday 14 April and a personal appearance by Sophie Conran from 2-4 pm on Wednesday 27 April.
