Former model-turned-author and TV presenter Sophie Dahl and her musician husband Jamie Cullum have announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl named Lyra.
Sophie, 33, gave birth on Wednesday, (2 March) but the couple's official spokesperson has only just released details of Lyra's arrival, with the scantest of statements, saying:
'Musician Jamie Cullum and his wife, the author and presenter Sophie Dahl, have become parents.
'Their daughter Lyra was born on March the second. They are over the moon.
'They will not be releasing any further details about their daughter, including her weight and where she was born.'
Sophie and Jamie married in a top secret winter wonderland themed wedding ceremony in the New Forest in January last year. They went public with their pregnancy news in September, 2010 when Sophie was four months along.
