Young Mum In Swine Flu Coma After Giving Birth

A young mother is in a coma after giving birth whilst suffering from swine flu.

Leanne Gunnell, 21, who is from Gloucester, was put into a medical induced coma seven weeks again, to protect her and her unborn child.

She has since given birth to a 3lb daughter, Faith Charlotte, but has not regained consciousness herself. The baby is said to be doing well.

Miss Gunnell's parents, Sharon, 43, and Simon, 44, of Gloucester, may have to make the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life support machine. Her devastated mother told reporters: 'We can't give up on her now.'
