A certain royal isn't planning to put a ring on it.
According to Palace sources, Kate Middleton, the Daily Mail reports.
According to a Palace aide, this was a mutual decision between bride and groom. "It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn't one for jewellery - he doesn't even wear a signet ring - and decided he didn't want to. It really is just down to personal preference."
As for Kate, she will wear a wedding band "fashioned from a lump of Welsh gold owned by the Royal Family that has been smelted down," and which both she and her future hubby had a hand in designing. Welsh gold in royal wedding rings is part of a long-standing tradition.
Another source told the Mail that it's quite a common occurrence for men of William's social strata not to wear a traditional wedding band.
We suppose Kate has nothing to worry about - after all, ring or no ring, it's not like there's a chance that anyone on the planet won't know Prince William is a married man.
