During pregnancy, jeans can be your best friend – but you don't have to splash out hundreds of pounds to find the perfect pair. 'I wouldn't advise women to make a huge investment when it comes to maternity jeans,' says denim guru Donna Ida. 'You won't want to see them ever again once you've had the baby!'
Luckily, there are plenty of affordable options and according to Donna you could even consider having an existing pair altered. 'If your jeans are 'lived in' they provide a bit of thigh room,' she says. 'We advise women to have their jeans altered from four months, when they've put on their immediate baby weight and their bum and legs should stay where they are until the end of the pregnancy.'
