We're so used to seeing Rihanna making outlandish style statements - sheer-sided Met Ball dress, anyone? - that it comes as a pleasant surprise to see her stripping it back and playing it natural once in a while.
The singer was performing at the Nivea 100th birthday celebration in Milan, and took to the stage in a fresh white embroidered dress, which, while showing off her enviable curves, finished at a demure calf length.
And it looks as though Rihanna's sticking with her penchant for plaits, having showcased a super-long side braid at the Met Ball earlier this week.
Patterned courts, golden hoop earrings and bronzed make-up provided the simple finishing touches.
