Cheap Frills: Paula Abdul Spotted Cosying Up To Simon Cowell

As the X Factor auditions kick off in the US, we've been keeping a close eye on the all important judges' outfits (just as crucial as the singing, surely?).

While Cheryl Cole took spring's colour blocking trend to a new level, her co-star Paula Abdul also chose to wear a deep purple shade. Abdul arrived in a draped, silk number teamed with matching platform sandals, before getting a bit too cosy with fellow judge, Simon Cowell.

While we can just about deal with the dress, we would rather not have seen the close encounter between the X Factor stars. Keep it professional, Simon.
