Kate And William Will Be Expecting Their First Child In The First Year Of Marriage, Predict A Quarter Of Brits

PA

More than a quarter of Brits think William and Kate, the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will be expecting their first baby within a year of marriage, according to our own parentdish.co.uk poll.

A YouGov poll commissioned by parentdish.co.uk revealed that 27 per cent of Brits expect a baby announcement in the first year of marriage, just like Wills' parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

While half the nation, 50 per cent, expect the happy news will come no later than the second year of their marriage.

We know they've just stepped down the aisle, but our poll shows the level of interest in William and Kate shows no sign of waning - quite the opposite, the British public are already eagerly looking forward to the next chapter.

Whenever they decide the time is right to start their family, and the next chapter in their lives, there's no doubt the nation will be celebrating with them. Their warmth and clear devotion to each other are clear indicators of what great parents they will be, and a new era for the royal family.
