Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex have announced they are expecting their third child.
The couple already have two daughters, Lilly-Ella, seven, and Lexie, five.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Alex, 28, says the pregnancy has already brought she and Steven 'closer together':
'I suppose it's brought me and Steven closer because we're so excited. It's great because he's had loads of time off and we're both really happy.
'He's being so nice. He took me away to Dubai and got me a very nice present. He's very caring and is looking after me.'
She admitted the new baby was not planned, but that her two daughters were very excited at the news:
'It didn't feel real because it was all so quick. It wasn't planned, we were quite happy as we were, the kids are quite independent now it was so nice.'
'They're [Lexie and Lilly-Ella] both really excited. They haven't stopped talking about it. They keep saying to me, "Mum, is it still in there?" '
