It looks like Cheryl Cole's American dream may be over...
Reports are circulating which suggest that the 27-year-old has been fired from her position as judge on the esteemed X FactorUSA panel, just two weeks after filming started.
It is widely believed that Cheryl is to be replaced by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who was initially set to co-host the show alongside Steve Jones.
While nothing has yet been confirmed, US website TMZ claims that the American audience had trouble understanding Chezza's distinctive Geordie accent, while there are also rumours that a clash with a fellow judge is to blame for her unceremonious exit.
According to The Sun, it was in fact X Factoris open to speculation."
Whether she jumped, or she was pushed, remains to be seen - but an official statement from the Cheryl's already back in the UK, having made her decision (or been delivered the bad news) earlier in the week.
