Crying Baby 'Put In Cupboard' By Midwife

A midwife at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex, has been suspended after she allegedly put a crying newborn baby in a cupboard.

The woman is said to have shouted at the screaming baby then grabbed its cot and put it in a cupboard before walking away.

She was made to take the baby out after telling shocked colleagues what she had done.

A source at the hospital told the Sun: 'Who could do that to any child, let alone a newborn baby? She said the baby was crying too much and others had complained.'

Queen's has now launched an inquiry into the incident.
