Jamie Oliver Presents: The Big Feastival

Jamie Oliver Presents: The Big Feastival
It's festival season and leave it to Jamie Oliver to go one better and merge music and gourmet food to bring us his inaugural The Big Feastival – and best of all, it's all for charity.
The three day family-friendly celebration of great music (The Charlatans, Soul II Soul, The Mystery Jets, Athlete and Guillemots to name but a few) and delicious food (Jamie himself, plus Gizzi Erskine, Giorgio Locatelli, Levi Roots, Antonio Carluccio and others will be sharing their skills in The Big Kitchen ) will kick off on London's Clapham Common on Friday 1st July.
And as if all that weren't enough, there's shopping too, with Lily Allen and sister Sarah Owen's Lucy in Disguise set to bring vintage fashion to the festival-going masses with a pop-up shop, free vintage fashion, hair and make-up makeovers and a vintage fashion parade in the WI tent. They've even thought of the kids (and therefore the parents), with plenty of action, including storytelling, face painting, arts and crafts and, wait for it, a personal appearance by Peppa Pig in their own dedicated Little Dudes Den.
When you add in chocolate truffle tasting on Saturday from world renowned chocolatier, Willie "Wonka" Harcourt-Cooze and tips on how to create the perfect cocktail hour from award winning private members bar Milk & Honey, festivals don't come much better than this.
