Couture Review: Elie Saab A/W 2011

DESIGNER: Elie Saab

THE INSPIRATION: A strong-yet-soft femininity

TOP LOOKS: A billowing aqua dress with embellished bustier top, a sequin-dripping, long-sleeved number with a V-neck and the sheer-caped, embroidered dress sported by Karlie Kloss

WHO WAS THERE: Daisy Lowe turned heads in the front row with her thigh-high slit red dress

WHAT WE THOUGHT: The Lebanese designer is known for his red carpet-ready, rhinestone-encrusted frocks which the Hollywood set flock to, and while his beaded creations can't fail to impress, this collection offered a more modern take on red carpet dressing and a lighter-than-air femininity. The palette of aqua, silvery white, bronze and blue - combined with all that sparkle - felt totally dreamy. Now we'll just have to wait and see who wears what first.
