Prince William and Kate Middleton are to be asked by the Beckhams to be GODPARENTS to their new baby daughter, a newspaper is claiming.
The Star reports that a pal of David's told them:
"David and Victoria have already discussed godparents and they both think it would be wonderful if William and Kate would agree."
David caught up with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a reception on Friday, where he apologised for heavily-pregnant Posh's absence, saying she was too tired to attend.
The birth of their little girl is now imminent - so close that David even quipped he had thought he had MISSED it due to all the speculation it was to happen on the 4th.
He is said to have joked: "I woke up on Wednesday to a ton of messages on my voicemail from my friends congratulating me on the birth of our daughter. I turned to Victoria and said 'Did I miss something?'"
If true, do you think the Beckhams SHOULD ask William and Kate to be godparents? Or is that just a social climb too far?
