Amy Winehouse's Last Public Appearance On Wednesday At ITunes Fest Before Death Today

Dionne Bromfield Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse delighted her fans with an impromptu stage appearance as recently as Wednesday this week, when she turned out to support her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield.

While Winehouse didn't take to the microphone as Bromfield launched into Mama Said, contenting herself with dancing, clapping and chewing gum, she looked much fitter than she had done for a very long time and appeared content, hugging her god-daughter and beaming at the crowd - giving no indication of the tragedy that was to occur only three days later.

She had the same look on her face while performing as Kurt Cobain had before he died. I saw a few concerts but the songs didnt reach me anymore because I was staring into her empty eyes. To me it felt like her spirit already left. This woman must have been in great pain, dragging herself to her tragic end and no one knew how to reach out for her. A sad sad story.

Didn't know much about her, but once found a concert she did on TV. I was completely mesmerized. Such a talent. So sad.

sad thing is also along with her untimely lonely death is she is getting more play, curiosity, could have, should have, would have interest now then when she was alive...including me ... i knew very little about her didn't she try rehab at one point...i remember something about this

Well, the hollywood gossip mongers will have to find someone else to make fun of now. It sickens me to watch how they make fun of and laugh at people in crisis. You can bet Amy was struggling inside with what was happening to her and was probably never happy because she couldnt break free of the grip of addiction. I hope she has , at long last, found serenity.

Bipolar disorder plus street drugs & alcohol=death. So sorry she wouldn't go to rehab, or at least get some therapy & appropriate meds.

I have been there. So sorry, Amy.

she was a very giving person....R I P Amy...I know her friend is so sadden as we all are.....Please be respectful with the comments...this Lady had a tragic life..give her a break with the negative comments.....you never know what was bothering her....I think her husband was part of her problems...did he introduce her to drugs...?..She stuck by him all during his jail time and what did he do...turn around and have a baby, get engage to another woman very soon aafter getting out of jail...he was a A Hole........Men can be Dogs.....These men pray on talented women and bring them D O W N....look at Whitney and Bobby, Britney Spears. Sandra Bullock and Jessie James etc...these talented women get with jealous low lives that try to destroy them.......and move on to the next idiot woman who will have them!

it's also amazing to me that 27 years of age must be a milestone year for look at how many famous people lost their lives at 27... Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Cobain, Brian Jones, Jonathan Brandis, Pete Hamm, Shannon Hoon, Pigpen, even all the way back to bluesman Robert Johnson... there are plenty more... what is it about that number... God only knows...

My brother worked with addicts and he always said the heroin addicts were the most sensitive human beings he had worked with. It was a common quality to their personalities.

I think the real tragedy of drug addiction is that drugs tell the addict that they (the drugs) are the only thing that loves the addict....when its obvious that Amy Winehouse had throngs of adoring fans and family that genuinely loved her. 27 years old.....what a tragic end to what could have been a beautiful life.
