The Duchess of Cambridge looked every bit the understated Royal as she accompanied The Queen around the newest exhibition at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
Kate paired her plain, though well-cut neutral, knee-length dress with matching heels and simple jewellery. Her hair was loose and the Duchess looked relaxed and poised as she visited the display, which includes her wedding dress and multi-tiered cake.
The Queen appeared to enjoy the visit, though it has been reported she found the display of Kate's gown a little creepy. We know exactly where the monarch is coming from – the way in which the dress is mounted does give it a ghostly quality.
