Paul Wilson has been jailed for life for raping a toddler at work and abusing 22 schoolgirls on the internet.
Wilson was a nursery worker at the Little Stars nursery in Nechells, Birmingham. He filmed himself conducting his sickening attack on a toddler in a classroom and in a toilet block.
He admitted 46 sex offences involving children and was ordered to serve at least 15 years in jail.
Birmingham crown court heard that his online victims were mostly young girls aged 12 to 16.
Judge Mrs Justic Macure told him: "You are a dangerous, depraved paedophile. You have humiliated and corrupted and defiled. You have caused unknown harm to all your victims."
Wilson began working at Little Stars in October 2009. Six fellow members of staff raised concerns about his conduct before his arrest on 5 January this year, but he had continued to work there, despite receiving a written warning. He was arrested after being reported by one of the girls he groomed online. Police then found vile footage on his mobile phone during a search of his home.
