David Beckham has long been known for marking important events in his life with a trip to the tattoo parlour, and the arrival of daughter Harper Seven has been the inspiration for yet more body art, of which the footballing superstar gave a tantalising glimpse in a recent television interview.

Beckham already has a tattoo on his chest of Jesus being carried by three cherubs, which he has previously explained represents himself and his three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. Victoria Beckham also has a place, with her name spelt out along his forearm.

The new design, peeping out from his collar, appears to be of curly lettering, suggesting that it is Harper's name now adorning the chest of the footballing superstar.

Harper Seven was born earlier this month, and is the fourth child for David and Victoria Beckham.

David Beckham has also hinted that it could be only a matter of time before the couple add one more to their brood, which means he'll no doubt be looking for a spare few inches of bare skin for one final tattoo.

David has previously said his tattoos are a way of expressing how he's feeling, explaining: 'Most of my tattoos are memories and things that mean things to me.

"There's not one tattoo that I've got on me that doesn't mean something."
