The 49-year-old actor posted a video love letter to The Help star Emma Stone on www.jimcarreytrulife.com that many online deemed "creepy".

The one-minute, 53-second video shows Carrey speaking into a handheld camera and sincerely professing his love for the 22-year-old actress.

I thought Jim Carrey had already made it abundantly clear. He wants to be this generation's Andy Kaufman. He has made a career of saying and doing things to get a reaction from the public. Jim has made more left turns in his life than a NASCAR driver, for crying out loud. In this twisted notion of comedy, he wants to be the one laughing at the public in a "joke's on you" fashion, rather than the public laughing at him. And if he hasn't given us enough clues, the man even portrayed Kaufman in film. Perhaps he has now been possessed by the spirit of Andy. Next thing you know, he will announce that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Memo to Jim Carrey: Just be yourself, everyone else is already taken.

A LOT funny (even if it takes a little while for the LOL to kick in )
And seriously creepy.
Acting not withstanding, it is obvious that even if joking, he is at least a bit sweet on Emma Stone,
As we picture him offering her a ride in his mid-life-crisis red convertible.

"And everyday you would thank god that I was the appropriate age for you." That's funny.

It's actually difficult to do a video like this in one take. I noticed that he did add a little section at the very end where he seems to be about to cry. It wasn't until that last section though, that I could really tell he was "messing around". Very good work. Very funny/Creepy in the same vein as Cable Guy. It made me uncomfortable.

Is it real or is it acting? Does he even know the difference? The emotions seem genuine, perhaps if he was professing his love for a rock or a park bench we might be better able to assess his acting abilities. In any event, it is good YouTube material, he just needs to get a tripod so we don't need to be distracted by the the jiggling camera.

This is so obviously satire, or, "just acting", I mean.

Jim Carrey is awesome. I was laughing out loud right at the end. Good vid. 'Creepy' - come on, he's a comedian, this is satire.
