Kate Winslet put in a rather smart LBD-based appearance at Venice Film Festival earlier today at a photocall for her upcoming film Carnage.

The actress, who plays the mother of a boy involved in a fight with another child in the Polanski-directed film, donned a simple LBD, grey blazer and sandals for the event - it's essentially moviestar business casual.
The only part of the outfit we're not entirely sold on is the shoes. They're fresh, they're cute, they go with the outfit...

...and the black ankle bands make her legs look approximately a foot shorter.
