As if having two successful clothing collections wasn't enough (as well as a whole host of TV shows, films, books and merchandise under their skinny belts) Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have just been announced as the new creative directors of sports shoe company Superga.
The Italian plimsolls brand, owned by Steve Madden Ltd, has enjoyed a resurgence of late - thanks to famous fans such as Steve Madden explained to WWD.
"We were at a meeting with Steve, and we were wearing Supergas - two years later, it kind of fell into our lap," Ashley Olsen added. "I really don't think there's anything like this brand. It's a tennis-shoe brand with 100 years under its belt."
The twins are set to create a collection of stylish sneakers for Spring/Summer 2012, and will also be in charge of all marketing and distribution decisions.
