Strathclyde Police Uncover £3m Drugs Haul In Glasgow Flat

Drugs worth more than £3 million have been seized by police.

Officers from Strathclyde's major crime and terrorism investigation unit recovered the haul in Glasgow at around 3pm on Friday.

The 57lb (26kg) of heroin and 24lb (11kg) of cocaine, with an estimated street value in excess of £3 million, were found in a flat in Craigbo Avenue, Maryhill.

Officers also seized several items of equipment normally used in the production and distribution of drugs.

A 50-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man have been arrested and are currently in police custody in connection with the seizure.
