Catwalk Review: Ashish Spring/Summer 2012

WHO? Ashish

IN A NUTSHELL: Floral, meets monchrome print, meets brickwork, plus lashings upon lashings of sequins. From the pretty pink flowers on the invites we had a feeling the collection might be floral themed, but that would have been an understatement. Models turned gardening girls, sporting sequin dresses, tops and trousers emblazoned with every bloom going. Chunky flat lace up boots had wild flowers sticking out the top, while looks were finished with quirky straw trilby hats, moody plum lips and messy side plaits.

BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: The opening flowery mini dresses were the most wearable, but we also wouldn't say no to a shimmering brickwork jacket, or the striped sunflower-print jumper.

THE F-ROW: Paloma Faith (Ashish poster girl)

VERDICT: While it would take someone as style-wild as Paloma Faith to rock some of the head-to-toe ensembles, individually there were some simply stunning pieces. We've never been quite so dazzled (and we mean that in the most literal sense) by a fashion week show.
