Giles Deacon's art-based designs seem to be gathering quite the celebrity fanbase. His Paul Delaroche-inspired silk dress has cropped up on no fewer than three fashionable ladies so far - Pixie Geldof, Lily Cole and tennis star Li Na.

Giles based a large portion of his A/W 2011/12 collection on Delaroche's The Execution of Lady Jane Grey (which now hangs in the National Gallery in London) and the unusual design is fast becoming a red carpet regular despite the rather grim subject matter.

Pixie, the most recent wearer, paid homage to the designer when she donned hers to attend the Giles show on Tuesday. Lily's made it's appearance at the Toronto Film Festival and Li Na arrived at a Wimbledon party in hers.
