As an American kid, 'Hogans Heroes' was one of my favs, but the Croft comedies  'Dad's Army' and 'Allo, Allo' were wonderful.

Thank you, Mr. Croft, for all the laughs.

Sad to see this, Ironically there was a program on BBC4 about the showing of war on TV, which featured a part about 'allo, 'allo. Apparently the German TV executives loved it as for the first time Germans were not portrayed as some evil characters but as funny. In another irony 'allo, 'allo, was one of the few TV shows to feature the differences between the Communist resistance and the Gaullist resistance and play on it.
