Catwalk Review: Nina Ricci Spring/Summer 2012

Catwalk Review: Nina Ricci Spring/Summer 2012

Who? Nina Ricci

IN A NUTSHELL: As per usual, romance reigned on the Nina Ricci catwalk, with a Spring/Summer collection consisting of ethereal chiffon gowns, ladylike stretch-satin dresses and lingerie-inspired separates.

BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: We'd give our left arm for a chance to wear one of the sheer chiffon gowns to our next formal function (if only we had one in the diary!) while the ruched satin dresses would be perfect attire for next summer's weddings. And we also want one of those adorable caged hats. In every colour.

F-ROW: Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo and Poppy Delevigne

VERDICT: Another typically dreamy collection of evening-appropriate designs from Peter Copping, with a sprinkling of delicate slip-dresses, ladylike florals and tailored jackets thrown in for good measure. Not exactly groundbreaking fare, but who cares when it's this pretty?
