She's known for her racy - and sometimes provocative - sartorial choices (that X Factor performance, anyone?), and even bared all on the cover of US Esquire.

But Rihanna made the decision to don one of the most covered-up outfits we've ever seen her in for a night out at strip club Stringfellows - the one place she could happily get away with wearing whatever she liked.

In fact, though, we were liking the cool ensemble she chose, which included a fur-trimmed aviator coat and outsized sunnies, large hooped earrings, a simple black top and skinny jeans. Laidback but trendy.

Rihanna left the club with her entourage, and was whisked off by a waiting chauffeur.

But she doesn't alway travel in such stylish luxury.

The star, who is in the UK for a string of dates for her Loud tour, stunned passengers on the Underground last week when she made her way to her own concert at the 02 on the Tube.
