'X Factor' Changes Again

The X Factor lost more than two million viewers on Saturday night, compared to this stage in the competition last year, and now X Factor bosses are changing this week’s theme at the last minute in a bid to bring back fans.

Saturday’s show was scheduled to be Heroes-themed, with acts set to perform tracks by their own chosen idols. But X Factor producers have now switched the theme to Rock.

An X Factor rep told Digital Spy: "The change of theme weeks was a production team decision to take contestants out of their comfort zone. Production regularly change themes late in the day."

Could it be that the judges realised this year’s oddball bunch of contestants may not share the audience's the most popular ‘heroes’?

Rock week has proved popular in the past, and last year’s episode included Katie Waissel belting out Sex On Fire and Matt Cardle singing Nights In White Satin.

Wagner was given Radiohead’s Creep , with its chorus “I’m a creep, I’m a weirdo.”
